SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for providing primary nursing support to medication services/clinic clients.
Responsible for providing primary nursing support to medication services/clinic clients.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates with psychiatrists and pharmacies for medication management
- Administers injectables and provides appropriate client education with respect to medication.
- Takes calls from hospitals, doctors, nurses and other mental health professionals to coordinate care of client.
- Triage walk –in clients and provide, nursing assessment, supportive therapy, crisis intervention and exploration of therapeutic options.
- Facilitates offsite medication clinics in service area.
- Refers clients to therapists, Day Programs, Partial Hospital, Hospital or other providers
- RN or LPN license in the state of Missouri required
- Annual TB testing required
- CPR/First Aid Certification required
- 3 to 5 years position-related experience required
- Prior Behavioral Health experience required
